Knitting Baby Socks
I've been buying great quality fabric from here since 2005. You get fabric by the yard (or half yard) at wholesale prices and without needing a minimum number for your order. This is one of my favorite places to buy good quality linen fabric as well as cotton fabric of all types and discount duping silk.
They ship quickly and give great deals for shipping. If you live overseas, such as Guam (possibly Saipan too but I have not tried yet), it normally takes 7 days to receive your fabric. When you're ordering from the U.S. mainland, I find that you get your order anywhere between 3 to 4 days.
Not only do they sell a wonderful variety of fabric from denim, Irish linen, corduroy to cotton flannels and knit but they also carry durable threads of different fibers.
Only once have I been disappointed by the quality of fabric (seemed to be an inferior linen that had dye stains and washed out at random places) I received. I've resorted to buying their handkerchief weight linen and Irish linen (on big sales and deep discounts) and the quality has been amazing.
If you're nervous about buying fabric online, I would recommend buying a swatch or half yard of fabric to test out. Take note of how many yards are left for your fabric so that the Fabric.com online store doesn't run out of it by the time you place your order. Because they seem to almost ship your order overnight (really a day or two), it should be worth the wait, especially if you're trying to save a lot of money.
Right now they offer free shipping on orders over $35 without the use of a coupon and have a 100% satisfaction guarantee on their products. On their website, it says that it some cases they offer free return shipping as well. You can find their free return shipping information (30 day domestic return policy) on their homepage.
I've spent hundreds of dollars in fabric alone and have been very happy and pleased with their great customer service. Please let them know we sent you!

Beads and Jewelry-Making Notions
I've been buying some beads in bulk from Fire Mountain Gems for years now and have been very satisfied with my order. If you know what you want to buy and have a pretty good idea about what size beads you'd like to get such as cultured pearls for a wedding necklace or bracelets, then this would be a good place to start.
When I needed a few select beads for a special project such as a birthday gift for one of our children or myself, I would sometimes place an order with ArtBeads.com.
Ordering from them was very convenient for me when I knew I needed just one Y sterling silver cube bead of a certain size and couldn't afford a string of this metal letter bead in bulk.
When I needed to complete a special sterling silver watch bracelet and needed an exact count on sterling silver crimp beads lobster claws, this was the perfect solution.
Currently, they offer free shipping in the USA on orders over $10. You can find more details about their free shipping rates on the top of their homepage.
